If you are a ColdFusion developer by now you MUST have heard of Ruby on Rails
. (Unless you’re the 2.0382 % of the CFdevers who haven’t - shame, shame.) There’s even been some much heated discussion from some CF developers
(here too
) who have even argued that ROR is so much better than CF that they were actually making a switch.
So considering this YOU KNEW that there was going to be some CF guru somewhere who was dreaming up the inevitable - CFRails … uh, I mean Rob Cameron’s
new CFonWheels
. Framework, documentation, svn repo access, and a video are available for perusing at the site
. Yes, it’s new and an infant but is looking like it’s already receiving a lot of interest.
I’ll be looking into both (yes, I did say both) Ruby on Rails and CFWheels especially since I’m trying to get several new projects out and am beginning to contract out services at my “professional” site bamboopoint.com
(thanks so much Anne). (OK, so don’t go to the site yet … I just purchased the name and haven’t put anything up yet — no, don’t click it…) I think it’ll be worth it to see all that Rails offers and then begin to see where CFonWheels will go.
