Windows, Linux, and Mac OS (sorta) on your PSP

Posted by: imarichardson In: Gaming| News

I came across this article on Extreme Tech which gives instructions for how to hack your PSP into running windows or linux. There’s also a link for getting it to run Mac OS version 7 (yes, that’s correct … hence, the “sorta” comment in the title). Not that I’m actually doing it myself (pleeze, the thing costs $250) but I thought it was interesting that someone actually figured something like this out.

You’ll need to note though that in order to do this you’ll need a PSP that can run homebrew apps, which as of version 2.x of the PSP System Software isn’t possible. Also, word has it that if you are running any PSP “homebrew-able” software, games and movies may in fact have the update on the UMDs which may invisibly update the system anyway.

I'mARichardson Who?

Who am I? Well, let's see: I'm a husband, father, brother, God-father, down to earth, relaxed, happy kinda guy who likes clean code, long walks on the beach, takes his laptop with him everywhere he goes, and (as I'd like to think) all around good guy!
