VMWare Server going free

It seems everyone is begining to embrace the “free” product market. In fact it seems to be that this is becoming a standard way of interjecting your product into the market. Adobe has done it with Flex, Microsoft has done it with SQL server, Oracle with their DB, and now, VMWare is doing it with their GMX Virtual Server (Windows and Linux) to be released today. Cairngorm 2.0 Alpha Released

If you’ve considered building Flex applications (and you should because the framework, sdk, and compilers are free!!!) you may want to consider Cairngorm. I came across Cairngorm (an architechure for building Flex apps) about a year ago , and sat in on one of their presentations during Macromedia Max 2005. They’ve just released the alpha for version 2.0; I’ll be checking it out soon.
