ActionController::MissingTemplate … Missing Layout … UGH!!!

I about pulled the leftovers of hair out of my head trying to figure this one out. The error log kept stating that the layout files I specified were not there but I could see that they in fact were. On my development and staging boxes (Mac) everything worked perfectly but I couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t work on the production server (Linux) – it was case sensitive on the Linux box.

So just note that if you specify a layout in your controller:

... be sure that your layout is exactly the same case running it on a Linux box. Hopefully this will help someone out in the blogosphere.
